Cherrie Cake : Indian Food & Cooking Recipes

Ingredients
1/2 cup (113 gm ) unsalted butter
3/4 pound (350 gm) fresh sweet cherries
1 cup (130 gm )all purpose flour
1/2 cup ( 55 gm ) ground almonds
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 large eggs
3/4 cup (150 gm) white sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp pure almond extract (optional)
1/3 cup (80 ml ) milk

Cooking Instructions
Preheat the oven 400 degree F or 200 degree C,polish a non stick pan with butter.
In small pan melt the butter &coll it at room temp.
Rinse dry all the cherries than take about 14 cherries cut them a half & put them on a paper towel & use this cherries as top decoration on cake better (by puuting cut side down on the cake) & rest of the cherriess cut in to quarter which is used in mixing with better.
In a seprate bowl whisk the flou,almond,bakinbg powdre & salt.
In another bowlbeat the egg & sugar until thik & light in colour & now mix the vanilla & almond ext in this mixture & after that add the butter & milk in the same mixture & beat it well.
Now add this mixture in flour mixture & beat it well & now add quartre cherries in this.
Pour the better in to the pan smoothe the top with the back of the spoom & back it for 15 minutes than take out the pan quikely arrange the remaning cherries on the topof the cake & put the pan again in to the oven & bake it for 20 min.until golden brown.
