Cooking Instructions
Put the chopped brussel sprouts in a pressure cooker and add one glass of water, chopped green chillies and 1/2 spoon salt to it. Heat until the whistle blows once and then drain the water and put aside. Heat the pan and add the oil. When the oil is hot,put the red chillies, chana dal, mustard seeds. When the mustard seeds starts to splutter or when chana dal turns red, add cumin seeds. Now add onions and fry them till they turn little brown in color. Now add curry leaves, turmeric(optional) and ginger and garlic paste. Fry for 1 more minute and then add the drained and cooked brussel sprouts. Add corainder powder and rest of 1/2 spoon salt and if needed red chilli powder. Simmer it 5 minutes on low flame.

The water drained can be used in soup or sambhar for the day or can be consumed directly. This brussel sprouts fry just tastes like cabbage fry and can be eaten with rotis or rice.
