Ingredients
Tamarind-2 lemon balls (medium)size Red chillies-10 Green chillies-10 Ginger-Sliced small 2 teaspoons Curry Leaves - 2 branches Coriander leaves - chopped 2 teaspoons Chana Dal - 3 teaspoons Uradh Dal - 2 teaspoons Groundnuts - half bowl Oil - sufficient to fry Hing - 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder - 1 teaspoon corinader powder - 1 teaspoon sugar - 1 teaspoon Rice cooked properly should be non sticky - 250 grams Turmeric/haldi powder - 1 1/2 teaspoons salt - 3- 4 teaspoons
Cooking Instructions
1. soak tamarind in water, and heat it for 10 mins and after that leave it for sometime to cool, take out the pulp/juice from it. 2. Put oil in a pan(more oil makes the recipe tasteful), heat it, then put groundnuts in it,let them get fried,then add chana dal,uradh dal,red and green chillies,curry leaves,ginger,hing to it,let them get fried, add now tamarind pulp and then haldi,chilli powder,coriander powder,sugar,salt,corinader leaves and let it get fried for sometime (7-10 mins) on a low flame. 3. Then let the mixture in pan get cooled. Now add rice to the mixture and mix welland is ready to serve....Add more rice if u feel the mixture is more. Takes just 30 mins to prepare this recipe.
